After China enters in WTO, all big automotive corporations are increasingtheir investment in China, such as Volkswagen, GM, Toyotoa, Ford,Daimler-Chrysler, Honda and so on. Since 2002, the automotive industry has beenfalling from sudden huge into toothful profit times. In 2005 many big automotivecompanies have got poor financial situation, even red. Due to the hard competition,all automotive companies have begun to value supply chain management. Theywant to get the reward from scale economy turough integrating inbound logisticschain. It will not only improve the service level and reaction ability but alsodecrease the operation cost. Based on learning the best practice of worldautomotive logistics, focused on the specification of Chinese logistics market, it isvital important in theory and practice to research the planning model and mannersin the fields of inbound logistics distribution.Distribution is a kind of special and comprehensive operating activity. It cancombine the business and material flow closely. According to the customer's orderand time schedule, it will also perform door to door delivery service. The involvedgoals are safety, accuracy, excellent service and lower delivery cost .It is veryimportant to design, plan and research the logistics distribution in order to createthe scientific, reasonable and smooth operating system. It is also very valuable toreduce the social total logistics cost.The article has totally studied the characteristics of distribution enterprises andthe extern business environment. It states the basic theory and planning method. Itrefers to the basic characteristics, the types and the corresponding modes. Based onthe practical surroundings, the detailed distribution mode will be determined. Thesystematical goals will be decided and described in nature.The article argues that the designing and planning method on distributioncenter from both aspects of theory and operation. The trends of domestic andforeign distribution center have been researched comparing the 3PL service levelsat home and abroad. The logistics service level in China is relevant with the poorscale. The supporting elements and bottleneck problems are also identified clearly.The paper has also summarized the successful practical cases from Haier and Dell.The following principles must be implemented, such as validity, reliance,service attitude, convenience and economics. The fields of planning methodinclude that locating ways, such as the weighing method, time sparing, focusingprinciple, simple ways and automatically principle. According to the actualproblems, it will select the different distribution ways. Performance management indistribution system will be also focused from financial and non-financial aspects.The non-financial index mainly includes productivity and customer satisfyingdegree. In the fields of transportation the delivery reliability, lead time, thefrequency of delayed delivery will also be checked making use of different ways,such as Radar drawing evaluate , BSC and so on . The inbound logistics projectin FAW-VW has been developed through the seven aspects of collecting andprocessing information, making distribution plan, designing the distributionprocess, vehicle planning, line planning, developing distribution modes. Theresearching method of qualitative and fixed quantity and saving principle help tocarry out calculating of data and select the best line. It uses EIQ to analyze orderand convenience.In the field of practical evidence, it adopts the method of combing withtheories analysis and the actual cases from supplier location, road selecting, vehiclerouting, CC locating, the operating process and truck filling concept. The paperdeveloped the package-filling concept using the software of truckfill. This is animportant innovation. Describing carefully, listing the detailed standard ofservicing quality management corroborates the possibility of the logistics deliverysystem to plan and design in the actual project. The planning method in the field ofdistribution has been systematically discussed. Through integrating the inboundlogistics chain in north-China the design of distribution syetem has been effectivelyverified. The logistics cost will be decreased. The service level will be improved.The core competence has been largely strengthened. The theory guides practice. Atthe same time practicing carries on the examination by the theories scientifically.The reasonable overall design will produce the huge core competence and betterincome. The systematical planning method could be of reference value inautomotive manufacturing.Finally this article goes together with the contrast analysis of the presentcondition of domestic and international logistics. Planning and designing of thelogistics delivery system as well as actual evidence researching, they establishperfect and efficient logistics distribution concept. It also summarizes how toimprove logistics center and break obstacle of development of logistics center andforecasting the direction of distribution development in the future in China..
