The rapid development of economy in China makes GDP increase sharply. However, the fast development of economy causes a series of troubles, such as the depletion of natural resources and energy as well as the escalating deterioration of the ecological environment. This situation shows significantly in the automotive industry. As the increase of the production of automotive, the amounts of the end-of-life vehicles also rise sharply. The end-of-life vehicles give rise to a series of environmental and safety problem. The phenomenon has caused wide public attention to the experts. But almost nobody pays attention to the establishment of circular logistics system for automotive industry. This situation needs to be changed. Based on the current situation, this paper viewed the automotives as the main subject and optimal using of resource as the objective to establish the circular logistics for automotive industry. Some key issues will to be studied in the paper. The main contents of the paper are as follows:Firstly, the paper defined the circular logistics system for automotive industry from its concept, elements, structure, functions, objective, and characteristics. Based on the previous documents, the paper put forward the structure of this system, and described simply the key issues on the research.Secondly, the paper studied the recovery mode of the end-of-life vehicles for the circular logistics system programming in automotive industry. Automotive manufacturers should be responsible for their products at all stages of a life-cycle in the limit of Extended Producer Responsibility. According to the structure of the circular logistics system for automotive industry, the end-of-life vehicles recovered from the consumers should be reused and remanufactured by different distribution of tasks. The top manager of automotive manufacturer should decide the selection of the mode of recovery. The paper divided the mode of recovery for the end-of-life vehicles into the automotive manufacturers directly recovery mode, the producer responsibility orgnization recovery mode and the third-party recovery mode. Three kinds of mode have both advantages and disadvantages. Also, the paper introduced the scope of their application. The paper compared and analized quantitatively three recovery patterns with BSC/ANP approach, and provides the scientific basis for the automotive manufacturers to choose its right recovery mode.Thirdly, the research issue focuses on the partner selection problems for the circular logistics system in automotive industry. The paper analyzed the contents and the process of selecting logistics partner, and then discussed mainly the assessment system and the parter selecting method based on the extention method. Based on green supply chain theory, the paper focuses on the automotive manufacturers how to select the most appropriate reverse logistics provider for end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) with extended producer responsibility (EPR) and pooled take-back model. The paper conducted questionnaire survey to automotive manufacturers and interviewed logistics experts. Then, the paper established supplier evaluation index system for ELVs in reverse logistics and put forward evaluation model based on extension evaluation for selecting prior supplier using a combination of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and extension-based approach. Finally, the proposed approach is validated by one numerical example and gets a satisfactory result. It provides scientific basis and a new way for automotive manufacturers to select suppliers in circular logistics.Lastly, by the analysis of the behavior of government, enterprises and customers in the process of circular logistics system for automotive industry and the use of game theory to establish the game model of the monitoring of establishing circular logistics, the paper drawed the strategy for the government and others responsible for the establishments of circular logistics system under different circumstances.Through the research on the recovery mode of the end-of-life vehicles, the parter selection, the analysis of game theory of circular logistics for automotive industry, the paper also tried to establish management system for the circular logistics in automotive industry to promote the effective environmental design, manufacture, distribute the automotives, and recycling and reuse of the end-of-life vehicles in China, thus further propel the development of circular economy.
