Supply logistics in automotive industry is the most complicated part of automotive supply chain. The corresponding integration modes and optimization methods are current focuses for the staffs and experts engaged in automotive supply chain studies. The breakthrough and innovation will take on new value in theory and practice. Depending on the project of supply logistics integration for some great automotive corporation, based on scientific summary on the integrating practice of world leading automotive corporations in supply logistics, the interior characteristics and operational rules have been abstracted as operational process reference model. The integration modes have been analyzed with more systems description and have pointed out the integration modes and characteristics of Chinese automotive supply logistics integration. Facing the three critical problems during the integration, such as evaluating and selecting 3PL, locating regional distribution center, and defining total cost model of supply logistics and order parameters, and so on, system studies have been carried out. The solutions to the process method of evaluating 3PL and locating regional distribution center will own very important value in application. To some degree, there could be innovative in building total cost model and order parameters model. The above operational process reference model and the solutions to the three critical problems will take effective support in the future automotive supply logistics integration. The whole dissertation includes several parts as follows:1. The background, purpose and significance of the study work in the dissertation are shown in detail at first. Then the new researches on key fields of supply chain management study are specified comprehensively. Consequently the main contents and the route of study works in the dissertation are discussed.2. Based on the study on the practice of supply logistics integration of world leading automotive corporations, the concept of integration modes of automotive supply logistics is clearly defined and its characteristics are totally analyzed in the five aspects. They are process of purchasing and supply, development and application of information system, operational scope of 3PL, delivery process and risk control. Depended on the framework and special definitions of SCOR, the integrated operation references are developed, the characteristics analysis on the supporting elements of core business process has been carried out. The SCOR of automotive supply logistics will be acted as surroundings for resolving the following three problems.3. Based on the progress of abroad and native researching in 3PL evaluation, focusing on the objective problems, through investigation in the involved partners, such as professor, planning expert in automotive company and 3PL company, logistics managers of suppliers of parts and components, and so on, the evaluation index system particularly suited for automotive 3PL in supply logistics has been developed. Focusing on each evaluating elements in the index system, the corresponding ruler has also been given. Based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the best choosing sort has been resolved. . Testing and adjusting the result of decision-making model and the subjective sort of experts by grey correlation analysis is one of the innovations in this paper. Finally, the paper expatiate the specific methods and applications of the decision-making model by an example of a selection of third-party logistics services partners for actual automobile manufacturers.The evaluation index system and method own very important value in innovation and application. The index system includes five core evaluation elements. They are management culture, operational experience and service quality, planning ability, information system ability, size and quality of operational assets, operational control ability. The five elements meet the demands from 3PL service quality award evaluation and demonstrate the typical characteristics of long-term cooperation, accuracy, advancing and continuous improvement. They are all very independent each other. Management culture is soft basis of long-term cooperation. Evaluating operational experience and service quality means the assessment of the historical performance. Evaluating planning ability proves the reaction ability for demand changing and innovative ability in new logistics technology. Evaluating information system ability is to inspect the operational advancement. Evaluating size and quality of assets is to explore the resource ability in hardware. The index system will audit the past performance, current ability and future potentials. All elements related to strategic cooperation have been considered into the evaluation system.4. Based on the features of automotive supply logistics operation, the functions of regional distribution center has been discussed. Current methods of location decision-making are assessed concerning on the evaluation effectiveness. The location decision result from centriold model has been judged by two echelon method based on regional distribution center evaluation index system. The evaluation index system demonstrates the characteristics of the present age. Such scientific means will support the dynamic adjustment of supply chain network.5. In order to offer system solutions for daily operational decision, the stock management model and order parameters have been defined and solved. Service level ,safety stock level, normal delivery ability, emergency delivery ability, the most optimized delivery cycle time, the probability of different delivery situation and management cost are all introduced in the total cost model of automotive supply logistics. It tells the strategic nature and value of supply logistics operation. It also reveals the core contradictions faced in the daily operational decisions in automotive supply logistics. At the same time, the application of possibility of different types of deliveries and incremental analysis are also embodied in the new total cost model. The most optimizing delivery cycle time is easily pursed. In the light of objective service level, the safety stock and delivery lot quantity have also been developed. Focusing on the key elements affecting most optimized delivery lot, the sensitive analysis has been made. The main elements to improve supply logistics operation have been found.The models will support daily operational decision. It is also important reference for other industries.6. The summaries and expectations of research works are pointed out. The innovations and insufficiencies in research are summarized. The research directions in future are illuminated.On the base of study contents in the dissertation, several innovations in research include as follows:a. Arguing the integrated operational reference model of automotive supply logistics, analyzing the modes and characteristics of integration with systems description.b. Building the evaluation index system specially suited for automotive industry and offering assessment standards on each elements.c. Arguing the science of two-echelon locating methods based on the dynamics of regional distribution center and applying the above methods in practical case.d. Building the new total cost model of supply logistics, considering emergency delivery cost, out of stock lost and introducing conditional possibility of different types of deliveries. Pursing the most optimized delivery cycle time and delivery lot. Focusing on the key elements affecting most optimized delivery lot, the sensitive analysis has been made. The main elements to improve supply logistics operation have been found.
