JIT Distribution System And Its Evaluation Of Economic Effect In FAW-VW

Logistics as "the third profit fountainhead" of production enterprise has already been applied widely by the overseas enterprises. However, in China it is only in the fundamental research or the preliminary stage of utilization. The lack of modern logistic concept and seldom application in large and middle scale state-owned enterprises, caused low operation efficiency, high manufacture cost and lacking of market competitive power. So this paper systematically elaborates on the basic theory of modern logistics, describes the automobile industry distribution model on JITD (just in time distribution) with its basic principles, and discusses the strategy and steps of just in time distribution taking FAW-VW as an example, hoping to improve the operation efficiency in automobile industry production, reduce logistic cost, and provide valuable instruction and reference for promoting enterprise competitive power.This paper is part of the project "Logistics Program in FAW". Based on extensive reading of domestic and foreign publications on relevant subjects and field investigation of well-known logistics company, this paper summarizes the basic flow of establishing the JITD system, and evaluates the economic effect of JITD, based on the implementation of JITD system in FAW-VW. This article altogether is divided into six chapters, the main idea each chapter of as follows:The first chapter is the introduction. This chapter elaborates on the background of topic establishment, the research significance and the present situation in domestic and foreign research. It determines the mentality, technique and content of the research.The second chapter is the basic theory of JITD. First the concept of JITD is defined.
