Mainly based on the fieldwork first-hand data and summary of Guo Dingxiang, the thesis analyses Guo Dingxiang academically from the viewpoint of folklore, folk literature, folk belief, and feminism, such as its folklore function, cultural meaning, folklore value and meaning, and its representative meaning in rescuing and protecting of nonmaterial cultural heritage. The thesis probes into Guo Dingxiang comprehensively and puts forward the author's view, supplementing former study.The thesis has four main parts: exordium, text, epilogue and supplement.Exordium summarizes the data on Guo Dingxiang.The text is divided into the following parts:Part One.
