A Feasibility Research On Constructing A Sino-North Korean Hunchun-Rason Frontier Economic Cooperation Zone

In the context of world economics integration and globalization major trend, the Northeast Asian region economic cooperation is launching to the deep level. In the participation in and promotion of the UN Development Bureau and the related country, especially Chinese, the international cooperation development in the Tumen River Area has made the substantive progress. China borders North Korea in Tumen River Area, because of the difference in their respective natural condition, economic system and geo-cultural, and of imbalance and complementarities in their economic development, both countries were urged to establish the closer economic cooperation relations in order to archive political, economic and cultural integration, and to further expand the cooperation in the investment, trade and many other fields.With the aid of the regional economics, industrial economics, geo-economics, international economics and economic geography, and other subjects of knowledge, utilizing the region economic theory, international trade theory, world economy theory, and taking Tumen River Area's specific geographical space as the background, and the economic cooperation in the adjoining areas between China and North Korea as study carrier, this paper made a feasibility research and gave a discussion on the geographical condition, present cooperation situation, key fields of cooperation, development pattern and objectives , and coordination mechanisms in their economic cooperation, and made a foresighted and operational conclusion about the feasibility on constructing the Sino-North Korean Hunchun-Rason frontier economic cooperation zone, and proposed relevant macro approaches and concrete suggestion.Besides the introduction and conclusion, the paper is divided into four parts.The first part defined the concept of the Sino-North Korean...
