Study On The Assessment Method Of Buried Personnel Distribution In Earthquake

The destructive earthquakes often cause a certain amount of people buried, so theearthquake relief is the primary task for earthquake emergency. If after the earthquake,the disaster relief command department can quickly identify the intensive areas ofburied personnel according to the buried personnel distribution, we can get more timeto save more personnel being buried.However, because of the difference of the intensity, population, building structureand other factors, different regions have different number of buried personnel. Also,earthquake disaster has the characteristics of sudden, and strong earthquakes usuallydestroy the communication with the outside world, so the disaster relief commanddepartment can hardly know the buried personnel distribution.At present, the research related to buried personnel distribution is still limited,there is no effective way to assess the distribution of buried personnel and it is difficultto provide enough data for the earthquake emergency rescue, which seriously affectedthe rescue.Therefore, for these practical problems, conducting research on the assessmentmethod of buried personnel distribution in earthquake is very necessary and urgent.For quickly assessing the buried personnel distribution, we have done thefollowing work:1. Researched the relationship between the casualty of the buried personnel andburied time, also analyzed the relationship between the casualty and buriedenvironment;2. Researched the main factors affecting the distribution of the buried personnelsuch as earthquake intensity, population, the designed acceleration of basic earthquake,regional’s administrative level, etc;3. Proposed an assessment method of buried personnel distribution according tothe empirical formula, and corrected the related parameters;4. According to the data of the buried personnel in Wenchuan earthquake, usinggrey correlation theory to analyze the factors which have impact on the distribution ofburied personnel, and set up a new model to assess the distribution of buried personnel;5. Writing the procedure to assess the distribution of the buried personnel withtwo methods. Assessed the distribution of the buried personnel in different earthquake,and compared the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods.
