The Construction Of Database For Earthquake Disaster Emergency And Rescue Team Based On ArcSDE For Oracle

Earthquake is one of the natural disasters which bring huge destroys to human, it not only brings the economic destroys but also kills many persons. Earthquake disaster emergency and rescue team plays an important role in earthquake emergency and rescue, with the excellent rescue equipments and experienced team members, the rescue team can succor these casualties which can't rescued by general way, also , the team can work in the dangerous field and control the situation of disasters.Many factors affect the result of rescue, such as the arrived time of rescue team, the technology of rescue equipments, the rationality of decision-making, and so on. In these factors, the decision-making is the most important. With the unreasonable decision-making, the rescue team can not exert the most efficiency of rescue equipments and team members. To make a reasonable decision-making we must have some data, such as the geographical data of disaster area, so, constructing database for earthquake disaster emergency and rescue team has great meaning.Spatial database technology has been developed quickly during these years. In this paper, spatial database technology is introduced in the field of database for earthquake disaster emergency and rescue team, and it can realize storing spatial data and attribute data in one database, and provides a rapid approach for rescue team to get data. This paper analyzes content of the database according as the requirement of the work of rescue team and the construction of earthquake emergency basic database. After comparing some schemes of spatial database, this paper chooses the technology of ArcSDE for Oracle to build database, and adopts AO for constructing database management system. Finally, this paper has constructed and accomplished the database for SI CHUAN earthquake disaster emergency and rescue team, with this database, rescue team can query, scan and manage data easily.
