Since Shen 179 block of Liaohe oilfield invests in exploitation, by the reason of long well section contains oil in the field, and the physical property difference between layers is obvious, interlayer contradiction has been gradually exposed in the process of exploitation.Therefore, it is necessary to deepen the understanding of oil reservoir, and make research on the geological features of Shen 179 block in Liaohe oilfield.Guided by the theory of sedimentology, this paper uses the cycle correlation method which is “based on the cycle, control by the marker bed, contrasting in level three,subdividing step by step”, on the basis of previous research results, using the data of 69 Wells in the research area has carried out detailed small layer division and contrast; Using 3D seismic data, well logging and production performance data, characteristics of Shen 179 block structure and the micro structure of the fluctuation shows by the single sand body are studied. Research shows that Shen 179 block develops two groups of faults, which strike in the north-east and east-west respectively. The fault strikes in the north-east controls the oil and gas migration and reservoir, while the fault strikes in the east-west is mainly to divide the block. Taking advantage of logging data and features of core, establish the logging analysis template of delta sedimentary system, and divide the log facies of single well. Under the guidance of classic delta depositional model, combined the plane distribution of small layer logging microfacies. At the same time, we conducted a longitudinal study on the relationship between the evolution of sedimentary facies. Make the use of log facies characteristics,divided sedimentary microfacies according to depositional time unit. From core analysis, by the systematic research on the relationship between reservoir lithology, physical properties,oil bearing and electrical properties in Shen 179 block, we established logging interpretation chart of relationship between four properties. According to the core analysis data of Shen 179 block, porosity is 10~25%, the average value is 14.6%; Permeability is 10~500×10-3μm2, the average permeability is 320 × 10-3μm2, which belongs to medium porosity and medium permeability reservoir. From the petrology features, reservoir physical property and distribution characteristics of sand body, the analysis of reservoir inner layer, plane and inter layer heterogeneity were studied, it consider Shen 179 belongs to medium-strong heterogeneity reservoir. Finally, on the basis of research on the Shen 179 structures and reservoir, the distribution characteristics of oil and gas on the plane and profile are definite,and the geological reserves oil and gas are calculated.
