With the gradually strictly of the environmental disciplines, the requirement for the quality of gasoline is getting higher. The method of reducing gasoline sulfur is considered to be an efective means for improving air quality. The desulfurization technology has become a key technology in various oil refinery enterprises. Sulfur compounds in gasoline come mainly from FCC(Fluid Catalytic Cracking), researching and application of FCC gasoline desulfurization technology is very important.A new desulfurization adsorbent, silicone modified with multi—metals at the present of inorganic latent solvent is developed. The adsorbent is applied for adsorption desulfurization of gasoline by using the static adsorption of model compounds and straight gasoline. The results indicate that the transition metal based adsorbent developed in this work is effective for selectively adsorbing the sulfur compounds. The process can effectively remove thioalcohol. thioether and thiophene sulfur compounds in the liquid hydrocarbon fuels with low investment and operating cost.
