This paper was supported by China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute,and it originates from “Twelve Five-Year” National Science and Technology SupportProgram project (ID2011BAK06B05) and Quality Inspection Public project” Developmentof International Standards ‘non-destructive detection and infrared detection equipment’”(ID201010069).It’s core is to study the application of infrared thermal imaging detectiontechnology in state inspection of amusement facilities, find the heating law of keycomponents of amusement facilities, propose the method of practical application of infraredthermal imaging detection technology in diagnoses of key components’ operating status.With the advancement of society, the amusement industry also has rapid development.Amusement facility can meet the entertainment needs of people by its rotation, free-fallmovement which brings tourists exciting experience and sensory effects. But once the failurehappens, it will bring direct the threat to the tourists’ life safety. Nowadays domesticinspection of amusement facilities is not perfect, the test items can only be limited toconventional nondestructive testing of some removable, easy-observing parts and detection ofsome subsystem indicators, there’s a lack of comprehensive diagnosis of operating status ofequipments’ mechanical system and electrical system.This paper attempts to introduce infrared thermal imaging detection technology toamusement ride operating state detection and malfunction diagnosis. By collecting thethermal image, build the foundation for use of infrared thermal imaging technology inamusement ride running state detection, fault diagnosis and safety evaluation. Experimentalresult shows that: The more obvious temperature-increase areas of equipment are hydraulictank, outer wheel, high speed bearings of reducer, motor stators, magnetic yoke oftransformers. Infrared thermal imaging detection technology is a potentially methodapplicable to detect amusement ride operating state and diagnose malfunctions. In addition,through a large number of acquisition of heat data of the running equipment, a statistic analysis on the key components motor, reducer, hydraulic oil tank heating was delivered,getting the heating law of them.In order to study the heating difference of key components in different operating mode,selecting motor as the key object of study, this paper carried out comparative tests of motor indifferent work system, different loads, different downtime interval. Using a combination ofinternal temperature measurement by thermal resistance and external temperaturemeasurement by thermal imager,get the correction value of the temperature rise inside andoutside the motor, which can be applied in site detection and rapid discrimination ofcomponents running state.
