Research On The Influence Of Risk Preference On The Miners’ Unsafe Behavior

Accidents are mostly related to people’s unsafe behavior. Exploring the influencingfactors of unsafe behavior is beneficial to the coal mining enterprises. It can help the coalmining enterprises to control the unsafe behavior of miners and reduce coal mine accidents.Factors affecting the unsafe behavior including two aspects: umacro and micro. The influencefactors of Micro-level factors mainly include physical, psychological and cultural degree, etc.The current research focus on the influence factors of micro aspect, but little focus on thestudy of individual differences, especially the influence of risk preference on unsafe behavior.Risk preference is the external performance of individual intrinsic ideas, it will have influenceon people’s behavior. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the role of the the riskpreference on unsafe behavior, in order to ascertain the effects of risk preference to theminers’ unsafe behavior, and intervened and control the individual risk preference, thus canreduce the incidence of unsafe behaviors of miners and to promote the modern coalenterprises to be harmonious and safety.Firstly, on the basic of the relevant research achievement both in abroad and in home, thepaper determine the risk preference dimensions: cognitive preference, risk emotionalpreference and behavioral intention preference, introducing risk perception as a interveningvariable, build the hypothesis model of the relationship between risk preference and unsafebehavior. Secondly, based on the variables contained in the model both at home and abroadresearch, composed on the initial questionnaire of the influence of risk preference on unsafebehavior by in-depth interviews with miner, and conducted a small-scale survey about theinitial questionnaire. Used the SPSS17.0to make item analysis, exploratory factor analysisand reliability analysis completed the questionnaire, thus forms the official questionnaire.Proceeded the correlation analysis and test reliability and validity to the result of the researchin order to guarantee the reliability and stability of the formal questionnaire by a wide rangeof formal questionnaire investigation. Further more, put forward initial model of the risk preference and unsafe behavior, and used the AMOS17.0to fitting, evaluation, revision andinterpretation this set model, so as to verify the hypothesis proposed in this study. The resultsshowed that the three dimensions of risk preference have significant positive influence on theminers’ unsafe behavior. The three dimensions of risk preference have significant negativeeffect on perceived risk. And the perceived risk has negative influence on the miners’ unsafebehavior. Finally, combined with empirical research results, proposed the psychologicalintervention model of miners risk perception:"helping by others, self-helping, helping others"to reduce the incidence of miners’ unsafe behavior by intervening the risk preference.Through the research, this paper discusses the influence of risk preference on the theminers’ unsafe behavior, preliminary clear about the effects of level of individual riskpreference on the miners’ unsafe behavior. It enriches and develops the measurement, theoryand method of prevention about coal mine accidents.Miners risk preference psychologicalintervention model was proposed, so as to control and reduce the occurrence of coal mineworkers’ unsafe behavior.
