Shotcrete roadway support is widely applied in the construction process of shaftsinking and roadway drivage. However, for the lack of proper equipments taking andreclaimer mixed materials to the shotcrete machine, the whole process including mixingand reclaimer concrete is done by human, which requires high labor intensity and has a lowworking efficiency, and thus seriously affects the quality of gunite lining and the speed oftunneling in mining. Therefore, based on the modern design theory, this paper carries outthe design and research of a new working device of a mine car reclaimer so as to develop ahigh performance product fitted for the environmental requirements of shaft sinking androadway drivage, and to realize the automation process of taking and reclaimer mixedmaterials so that the mechanization of the shotcrete roadway support is improved.This paper exploits the design methodology to conduct the overall structural design ofthe working device of the mine car reclaimer, and optimizes the overall design scheme byfunction analysis method. Then, with the application of theories of machines andmechanisms, machine design, mechanics of materials etc, the detailed design andcalculation of the key parts of the working device is carried out.On the basis of in-depth research of the various restrictions of grabbing ability, thenonlinear optimization model of the working device of the mine car Reclaimer isestablished concerning the ability of grabbing materials, and with the help of theinternal penalty function method, the nonlinear optimization problem is solved and thedetailed structural dimensions of the reclaimer machine is obtained, which ensures themaximum grabbing ability and working efficiency of the working device on the premisethat the designed device meets the requirement of the limited underground space.The virtual prototype model of the mine car reclaimer is established by3D modelingsoftware Solidworks, and virtual assembly together with the interference checking isconducted to verify the reasonability of the adopted scheme of the working device. Then,employing the finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench and the dynamicssimulation software of mechanical systems ADAMS, this paper launches the structuralstatics analysis and the kinematics simulation of the working device, and the simulationresults demonstrate that both the structural strength and rigidity and the kinematiccharacteristics of the mine car reclaimer satisfies the design requirements.The trial-manufacture and industrial experiments of the designed working device ofthe new mine car reclaimer are conduced. The experimental results show that the design process of the newly developed device is correct and feasible, and the functions andworking efficiency of the reclaimer machine completely meet the request of theunderground construction.
