Mineral resources development does bring huge economic benefits for the country andsociety. At the same time, it has really led to a lot of mine geological environmental problems.So, it’s significant for rational development of coal resources, reducing the impact of coalmining on the environment, the prevention of geological disasters occurring, promotingsustainable development of the national economy to carry out mine geological environmentprotection and treatment.This paper researches on Rongda mine, and combined with field investigation, theinformation about mine natural geography and geological environmental background and soon could be getting. Through study and analyze geological environment background andcurrent situation of exploitation, which determines the main factors that affect the minegeological environment, has: geological hazard, aquifer, landforms and land resources and soon.This paper makes the assessment of status and prediction, in terms of geological hazard,aquifer, landforms and land resources, and determines those influence degree on the minegeological environment. The forecast of geological disaster is the prediction of groundsubsidence, which it is base on empirical formula method to calculate maximum height andnormal height of caving zone and water-flowing fractured zone.It can predict large surfacecollapse in mining area. Then, this paper figures out ratio of depth mining and thicknessmining, which is used to predict the degree of the collapse. At the end, this paper figures outthe maximum sink and predicts the maximum subsidence depth. Caving zone and waterflowing fractured zone, which are predicted formation in future, will communicate aquifer inmost mining regions, damage the structure of the aquifer, resulting in dewatering of the minewater. Subsidence areas, which are predicted formation in future, will damage mine nativelandscape, natural landscape and land resource.According to the assessment results, the district of protection and treatment is dividedinto major prevention area, second-emphasis prevention area, and general prevention area. And then put forward control measures for each district. The prevention of Rongda minegeological environment mainly includes mine geological environment treatment project, minegeological environment monitoring project, and the safeguard measures of mine geologicalenvironment protection and treatment, etc. The paper uses filling reclamation method whichto improve ground subsidence. The collapse pit is filling with soil and then it is rolled beforerestoring the vegetation on it. The paper uses leaving security coal pillar method which toimprove aquifer. Recycling the mine water resources is to prevent damaging the structure ofthe aquifers. Landform, landscape and land resources improvement are conclude tearing downthe ground buildings in industrial sites, covering soil, restoring the vegetation, and thenrestores the native landscape and land function.This paper provides a scientific basis for mine geological environment protection andtreatment of Rongda Mine, and has a certain reference value for Rongda Mine or other similarmines.
