High hydrogen-containing silicone oil, as a part of organic organosilicone which contains a lot of Si-H and CH3has good effect on the field of waterproofing. At the same time, High hydrogen-containing silicone oil can also be the source of Si-H, it can react with some materials which contain terminal double bonds to synthesize various modified silicone oil. These modified silicone oil can be applied to dyeing and printing auxiliaries, defoamer, cross-linking agent, water repellent agent. In this thesis, I have synthesized three kinds of silicone oil—high hydrogen-containing silicone oil, silicone oil modified by epoxy or alkyl groups and their process were discussed in detail.At first, hydrogen-containing silicone oil was synthesized with the method of catalytic balance. Methyldichlorosilane(MeHSiCl2) and hexamethyldisiloxane (MM) were used as starting materials to prepare hydrogen-containing silicone oil which has excellent properties such as the colorless and transparent appearance, excellent transparency and high hydrogen content. The process of the preparation was discussed by studying the rate of dropping water, catalyst dosage, the time of catalytic balance, reaction time and the dosage of end-capping reagent. Finally the optimum technological conditions were confirmed: the rate of dropping water is6drops/min, concentrated sulfuric acid accounts for4.6%of the total amount of starting materials, reaction time is24h, reaction temperature is20°C-25°C, the volume ratio of MeHSiCl2to MM is1:0.024. And the hydrogen content, kinematic viscosity and refractive index were measured, the hydrogen content in the product maintains1.51%.With high hydrogen-containing silicone oil and allyl glycidyl ether (AGE) as starting materials, silicone oil modified by epoxy groups was synthesized without solvent. The process of high hydrogen-containing silicone oil was studied through the research on some factors such as different concentrations of catalysts, reaction temperature, reaction time, the ratio of Si-H to C=C. In addition two kinds of catalysts were used to catalyze the reaction respectively to confirm the optimum technological conditions. The silicone oil modified by epoxy groups with high hydrogen-containing, moderate kinematic viscosity and excellent refraction was obtained. Moreover the structure of the product was characterized by FT-IR which proves the product was silicone oil modified by epoxy groups.Then I used two kinds of catalysts to catalyze the synthesis of silicone oil modified by alkyl groups, high hydrogen-containing silicone oil reacted with the modifier-1-octene through hydrosilylation. The hydrogen content, kinematic visco-sity and refractive index of the product were measured. Various factors were studied in different conditions to discuss their influences rules on the silicone oil modified by alkyl groups. And I obtained the best optimum synthesis conditions of silicone oil modified by alkyl groups. The product was characterized by FT-IR which proves1-octene was added to the high hydrogen-containing silicone oil successfully.
