Amino silicone oil is one of the most widely used silicone textilefinishing agents. The finished fabric with it is soft, comfortable andfeels full. however, the treated fabric is easily becoming yellow athigh temperature, and has a certain hydrophobicity. Based on these, inthis paper, a new Vinyl-amino-silicone oil was synthesized andmodified,which improved its yellowing and its water repellency whileretaining its softness of Amino silicone oil. In addition, in this paper,a series of nano-SiO2sols of different particle size was synthesized.When it was applied in the surface treatment of the fabric, the treatedfabric showed the better waterproof. The specific research contentswere shown as follows:(1) Vinyl-amino-silicone (Vi-ASO-1), the side chain of whichcontaining vinyl groups, was synthesized by hydrolysed octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) N-(β-aminoethyl)-γ-aminopropy lmethyl-bimethoxy silane (KH-602), tetramethylammonium hydroxide(TMAH) and1,3,5,7-tetravinyl-1,3,5,7-tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane(DVi4). The chemical structure of the resultant was characterized viaIR and1H-NMR. The emulsified Vi-ASO-1was milky and translucent.The average diameter of the emulsion was37.8nm. The cotton fabrictreated by the emulsion could have water-proofing property andimprove its flexibleness.(2) A colorless micro-transparent, epoxy silicone modifiedvinyl/amino containing silicone (Vi-EASO-1) was synthesized byvinyl/amino containing silicone (Vi-ASO-1) and epoxy silicone (ESO)as raw materials, and its structures were characterized with IR. Emulsified Vi-EASO-1was white, its average particle size was52.73nm, and ξ potential value was+32.2mV. Vi-EASO-1emulsion finishing of polyester fabric was of good waterproof. According to the mensuration, its static contact angle can reach141degrees.(3) A kind of new carboxyl and vinyl co-modified silicone oil (Vi-CAS-1) was synthesized with vinyl/amino co-modified silicone oil (Vi-ASO-1) and maleic anhydride (MA) as raw materials. Then0.03%Vi-CAS-1in ethyl acetate solution was used as a finishing agent, the performance of Vi-CAS-1on dacron fabrics was studied, and the effects of carboxyl equivalent, viscosity and the mole ratio of raw materials such as Vi-ASO-1to MA on the Vi-CAS-1performance were also investigated carefully. The results show that, the elasticity and flexibility of fabrics treated by Vi-CAS-1significantly increase. And when cooperating with the silicone which contains Si-H (PHMS-0.16%) in application, the compounded Vi-CAS-1can improve the fabric water-repellency to some extent, as compared with the fabric treated only with Vi-CAS-1.(4) Nano SiO2sols was synthesized by Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) at70℃, and the amount of Ammonia was about2%. Its chemical structure was characterized via IR. The particle diameter and ξ-potential of aminosiloxane and Hydrogen silicone oil emulsion were measured. The average diameter of Aminosiloxane was224.1nm, and its ξ-potential was29.5mV. The average diameter of Hydrogen silicone oil emulsion was294.6nm, and its ξ-potential was44.7mV. When Hydrogen silicone oil was emulsified, a certain amount of organic sour should be plused to adjust its pH at about5~6; and then a certain amount of stabilizing agent should be plused during the slow emulsification to improve emulsion resistance to shear force. The mixed solution with the mole ratio of AS-1to PHEAS at7:3, and SiO2sols with the15%catalyst, finished fabric together. The film morphology of treated fabric and blank fabric was observed and studied by SEM. The researches showed that, the surface of the untreated fabric was rough, uneven, similar scaly, and had much slim trench, and that the partial surface had short thorn and protrusion. The surface of the fabric treated by SiO2/AS-1、PHEAS was more rough, and had the protrusion formed nanoparticles. The waterproof of the treated fabric increased significantly.
