Silicone oil has been widely used in the chemical industry, textile, paint, paper,automotive and other fields because of it has so many advantages such as lubricity,anti-oxidation, corrosion and so on. Common polydimethyl silicone oil has someproblems when used, for example, poor compatibility and poor hydrophilicity. Sowhen used in different environments need to introduce appropriate functionalmolecules. The silicone oil we got not only retained their original nature, but also hadmore excellent properties, for example, polyether-modified silicone oil with highhydrophilic, epoxy-modified silicone oil with high heat resistance, long-chainalkyl-modified silicone oil with high lubricity and so on. In this paper, a novelmodified silicone oil product was synthesized, that is trimethylol propane acrylatefatty acid ester modified silicone oil. The polyhydric alcohol esters of long chain fattyacid chains it introduced effectively improved the lubricity and organic affinity, canused as waterproof coating of textiles, paper and building materials, also used inmachinery lubricants. The detail works of this paper are follows:(一) We use high hydrogen silicone oil which hydrogen content is1.5%as rawmaterial, molecular chains are rearranged in the effect of catalyst, and finally got lowviscosity silicone oil which the hydrogen content and viscosity can be controlled. IRwas used to characterization it. We discussed the amount of catalyst, reactiontemperature and reaction time influenced on the yield, and last determined the qualityof catalyst was1.5%, the reaction temperature was75℃and the reaction time was12h as the best synthesis conditions.(二) Trimethylolpropane monoacrylate was synthesized by trimethylol propaneand acryloylchloride, using acetal protection method and acryloylchloride directesterification. NMR was used to Characterization it and also talked about the reactionconditions effected on the yield. (三) We got three kind of esters by Trimethylolpropane monoacrylate reactedwith hexanoyl chloride, octyl chloride and decanoyl chloride. And, respectively, theyreacted with low hydrogen silicone oil to get three kinds of ester-modified silicone oil(trimethylolpropane mono acrylic acid di-hexyl ester-modified silicone oil,trimethylolpropane mono acrylic acid di-octyl ester-modified silicone oil andtrimethylolpropane mono acrylic acid di-decyl ester-modified silicone oil). NMR wasused to characterization three kinds of ester compounds, IR and TGA were used tocharacterization the modified silicone oil. We discussed the amount of catalyst,reaction temperature, reaction time and raw material ratio influenced on thehydrosilylation yield. Finally, determined the reaction temperature was90℃, thereaction time was4h, the molar ratio of low hydrogen silicone oil and alkyl esters is1:1.1and the quality of catalyst was1.5%as the best synthesis conditions.
