WTE is a new way to dispose municipal solid waste through burning domesticwaste to generate electricity by waste incineration equipment. And now it has enteredthe peak in china. However, with the continuous improvement of public awarenessabout pollution, WTE plant siting is further away from the urban areas, lack ofmunicipal facilities, and hard to supply and drainage water. Government also has setpolicies and standards of higher demand on secondary pollution, which requiresimproving control level of secondary pollution of WTE. Reuse waste water of WTEafter treatment could get "social, economic and environmental" multiple benefits, it notonly means zero discharge, but also could reduce water consumption of WTE plant..At present, research on resource use of waste water, just stay within a single classof sewage reuse, lack of whole and systemic. How to implement zero discharge ofwastewater of WTE plant? It is still in early stage. This article analyses the typical supply and drainage system of WTE plant, andraise problems about inadequate utilization of wastewater, such as a lot of inorganic andcleaning wastewater is wasted; wastewater treated by sewage treatment system andleachate treatment system is close to industrial water standards, but is not being used;there is no rainwater resources utilization, and so on.Taking the WTE plant in Dali as a subject in this article, it monitors the waterquality and flow of supply and drainage system to evaluate the water system and drawthe whole plant water balance Fig., and analyze problems. It is the way to reduce wastewater emissions, reuse wastewater, and establish plant-wide water informationmanagement platform. On the basis of above, this article presents two proposals.Proposal A: inorganic and cleaning wastewater is reused directly for landscapingirrigation, organic wastewater and leachate treated by Advanced waste treatment, isused in ash and slag handling, washing and so on, and build up water informationmanagement platform. Proposal B, on the basis of Proposal A, adds a rainwaterrecycling system to achieve automatic control of rainwater collection for landscapingirrigation and reduce the amount of fresh water supply for circulating water by increasecirculating water ratio. Analysis of economic benefits of the two proposals, proposal Bis recommended. Though it has larger investment, it has more net benefit, economicbenefit, and short payback period of investment. The research result shows that wastewater zero discharge of WTE plants can beachieved by reducing the cycle effluent, reuse of wastewater and rainwater. It is themost effective way to solve the problem of secondary contamination, water supply anddrainage of WTE plant. It is also the way to solve the domestic water shortage problemsof city, and there are a certain economic benefits.
