In recent years, with the rapid development of automation technology, especially a variety of control network have appear in the field of industrial automation, which able to complete a variety of communication tasks of the automation system. Also it provides the TIA technology that by Siemens the theory support.With a walking beam type reheating furnace that in the process of seamless steel pipe heat treatment in bao tou as the research object, on the walking beam furnace automatic control system equipment failure rate is high and the causes of low production efficiency, therefore, make a upgrade in the original system. Through the analysis of existing automatic control systems and equipment, decided to adopt the retrofit scheme of multistage network control technology. In order to save cost, make a secondary to the original production equipment that could reuse applications. Therefore, the project based on the two aspects of hardware and software. This paper introduces in detail the problem the old and new equipment are integrated into the unified network incompatible is solved by multistage network technology application. Making the Siemens Programmable Logic Controller of S7-300as the main controller, through the Modbus, Profibus-DP, Profinet and industrial Ethernet organic fusion, make the on-site production equipment, workshop monitoring and enterprise management level integrated with the seamless. Through the application of PB-M total line bridge, the original system secondary field underlying equipment can be used, and access to the Profibus-DP network. Use of the industrial Ethernet that has been in the enterprise build the enterprise management, collect the data of subsystem that contains the monitoring and field device layer, make a convenient for enterprise management personnel to grasp of the field production condition and scheduling. Due to the heating furnace combustion system structure have a large of temperature sampling point, closed loop control and complex algorithm. Therefore applying Siemens FM355C temperature closed loop module to control the heating furnace combustion system, reducing the burden of the master control CPU, and improving the efficiency of the control.Through the successful application of multistage network control technology to reform automatic control system, improving the work efficiency and stability of the production line, and creating a high economic benefit. At the same time, it provides valuable practical experience for the similar renovation project in the future.
