Nowadays, as the science and technology making progress as well as industry,problems about resource and environment are becoming more and more serious.Therefore, the developing of circular economy and building of conservation-mindedsociety are impendency needed. To meet this need, green remanufacturingengineering rise in response to the proper time and conditions. Remanufacturing canreduce the waste of surplus value during the disposal of waste products and lengthenlifecycle of products. And remanufacturing of machine tool is an importantcomponent of remanufacturing industry in China.This thesis aims at two urgent issues in remanufacturing of heavy machine tools,residual life prediction and remanufacturability assessment. This thesis makes asystematic study on residual life prediction based on finite element method andremanufacturability assessment for heavy machine tool components and parts. Firstly,this thesis studies the finite element analysis method and sever theories andalgorithms for fatigue life calculation to lay the foundation for the finite elementsimulation.Then the spindle and power screw of a heavy machine tool is modeled in the UGNX and imported into ANSYS Workbench to simulate their stress, strain and fatiguelife. With stress and strain theoretical fatigue life can be calculated. By comparingthe results of calculation and simulation, the reliability of simulation can be proved.After that, by combining the result of fatigue life simulation and the actual workingconditions of machine tool parts a computing method for residual life prediction ofmachine tool parts is deduced. The reliability of simulation and computing method isproved by a fatigue test of power screw.Beyond that, this thesis design a method to assess the remanufacturability ofheavy machine tool parts. The model of remanufacturability assessment is composedof economic module, technical module and environmental module, so the method canassess the remanufacturability of heavy machine tool parts right and effectively. Usethis method to solve a practical problem to prove its effectiveness and practicability.
