Remanufacturing has gained great development as an emerging industry and plays animportant role in the engineering machinery, machine tools, aerospace and other fields. Thesurface repair technology of machine tools is an important application of remanufacturingtechnology in the machine industry. To study the key machine repair techniques will help usto further enhance the remanufacturing capabilities of the machine industry, promoting thewidespread use of the surface restoration technology in the manufacture of machine tools andparts, and speeding up enterprises moving to green production mode.The paper first studied the remanufacturing theory and described the basic situation ofsurface repair technology, giving a classification and selection principles of surface repairtechnology and building the evaluation model of surface repair remanufacturing based onfuzzy theory. Then we discussed the application of the surface repair remanufacturingtechnology on the machine tool repair. On this basis, we listed several common surface repairremanufacturing technology in detail, and described the principles, characteristics and processof each, and then compared them, pointing out the laser cladding technology having greatpotential as a new type of surface repair technology.On the basis of remanufacturing theory study, the paper used the laser claddingtechnology to repair and remanufacture the machine tool by fiber laser cladding equipment.We coated a good performance alloy wear-resistant layer on the worn surface of machine tool,greatly improving the surface hardness, wear resistance, long service life and the overallmachining accuracy of machine tool, and we also used finite element analysis softwareANSYS12.0to simulate the temperature field in the process of laser cladding repair on themachine tool, obtaining the effect of Laser cladding process parameters on the maximum temperature of the molten pool center, that there was a positive correlation between the laserpower and the maximum temperature of weld pool, and there was a negative correlationbetween the laser spot radius, laser scanning speed and the maximum temperature of weldpool. The results provided an important guiding significance for the choose of laser claddingprocess parameters on the machine tool.
