Slope stability involves both open pit mine safety, efficient production and economic benefits of the key issues. With the rapid expansion of the size and layout of China’s coal open-pit mining, slope stability problem is more prominent. How to study for the actual conditions of the open pit, slope stability and related issues, is the opencast mining engineering and technical personnel in the field to address the important issues. Paper combines Jilin Guole Open-pit Ⅱ engineering practice of non-work bank, the integrated use of on-site research, theoretical analysis, limit equilibrium analysis and numerical simulation methods and means, and carried out a systematic study of slope stability issues.By overview project profile, and on the basis of large engineering geological conditions characteristic data, this paper analysis the influencing factors of slope stability, the preliminary determination of the slope of potential landslide mode; application landslide inverse analysis to determine the slope weak body smooth pour layer shear strength parameters; according to the specification and the actual situation, the slope safety coefficient is determined; application limit equilibrium method, analyze the different sections of the different forms of slope stability landslide mode, determine a reasonable slope parameters; application RFPA-Slope numerical simulation method, based on strength less theory, analysis of slope rock mass stress state, the displacement evolution and failure characteristics, and stress variation characteristics, displacement variation characteristics and damage characteristics of slope rock is clarified, draw the root cause of a landslide stability mode and stability. Combination of numerical simulation with limit equilibrium method to determine the slope potential landslide model, and improve the reliability of the analysis results. The research results under similar conditions of slope stability analysis has certain referential significance.
