In developing the surface coalfields, there are often several developers in one coalfield for a long time. Each developer, as a development body mine coal resources of section divided by country independently. And the developers construct several open pit coal mine at the same time or one after another. Which cause it difficult to stope coal under the side slopes of adjacent open pits, reduce the recovery rate of coal resources, be unable to use the dumping space farthest and get the global optimization of mining technology, mining-stripping procedure and development transportation system, at last, worsen the economic efficiency of open pit.This paper research on West2open pit and Wulantuga open pit, build3d geological model and present situation of exploitation model of West2open pit and Wulantuga open pit, formulate coordinating stoping scheme of coal under the side slopes of two adjacent open pits, optimize dividing mine area of West2open pit, and optimize coordinating scheme of transportation systems of two open pits, so the coal under the side slopes of two adjacent open pits can be stoped reasonably, the transportation system can be planned uniformly, thus enhance the recovery rate of coal resources, reduce the cost of production, achieve the economic benefit maximization of two adjacent open pits.
