In the electrolytic refining of copper production process, the composition of the electrolyte changes continuously. In order to guarantee the normal electrolysis, after a period of time, the electrolysis needs to be purified. In the process of second stage of purification about copper electrolyte, removing of As,Sb and Bi from electricity copper by copper removal process, Cu, As, Sb and Bi in the electrolyte, they together form the copper mud on the cathode by precipitating (commonly known as the black copper cement), it affect the purity of copper plate and the subsequent processing. The content of Cu, As in the copper mud is higher and could be recycled. For secondary utilization of copper mud at home and abroad has been more perfect, but the research of how to remove the copper mud is still too little. Now removal of copper mud is knocking through artificial methods, it has the feature of labor-intensive, low productivity, high costs, and poor cleaning effect.This paper described a method using mechanical rolling to achieve automated clean up of copper mud. Ensuring the cleaning effect, it reduces labor intensity and production costs and improves labor productivityFirst, based on the theory of metal roll, we completed the test of bending copper plate, and analyzed the state and components of mud copper, and verified the feasibility by the way of mechanical roll, cleaning the copper mud bonding the copper feasibility.Secondly, we were defined about the design content and design ideas and made a careful analysis and design from the four aspects of mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, control systems, adjustment system.In addition, after the design completed, we accomplished the process of processing, installation, commissioning of equipment parts, and the test of manual and automatic operation of the entire equipment.Finally, we tested the product in the actual production field, validated the effect of cleaning copper mud, and improved the parameter of the product.
