Production of steel rolling is an important step and the main method during the process of rolling the ingot or billet into production. Because with rolling method to produce steel, with high productivity, strong production process continuity, many varieties, easy to realize mechanization, automation, etc. With the progress and development of social economy, the demands for the product quality and production efficiency is getting higher and higher, the inevitable requirement for rolling mill is increased. The most important parts of the rolling mill are roller and housing. The damage often cause shutdown and overhaul, make the enterprise huge economic losses. The traditional reliability analysis and design method of roll and frame already cannot satisfy the needs of high efficiency. For large and medium-sized frame by adopting elastic mechanics finite element method calculation, strength and stiffness analysis can accurately calculate the whole frame of the stress field and deformation field, also can reflect the rack local stress and strain, find out the weakest part of the frame, improve the precision of calculation, is ideal and accurate calculation method. Therefore, in view of existing problems in roll to reliability design of roll, to study the failure mechanism, failure was built, and analyze its components under the working conditions of the characteristics of the stress and strain, to improve its structure and improve its working life is very meaning fully. Finite element static analysis of mill housing stress the program and displacement the program results is analyzed, and the frame rigidity and intensity is calculated accordingly. In addition, the analysis, the main factors influencing the dynamic characteristics of the frame for the future of this kind of mill structure optimization design to provide theoretical basis.
