The derivation of supramolecular host compounds is an important basic research in supramolecular chemistry. Calixpyrroles as a supermolecules containing multiple NH unit which can identify anion, has been at the forefront of state in the study of calixarene. However, due to the low yield of the synthesis and instability of its chemical properties, so the research progress slow. Meanwhile, Schiff base compounds have good coordination ability with the metal ions. Calixpyrroles schiff base compound is a potential ion-pair receptor. By taking the method of dehydration condensation, hydrogenation, ether esterification, amidation, we have got64Calix [4] pyrrole compounds, and studied the ion recognition of the Schiff bases.1. Through dehydration synthesis between dipyrrolo alkanes and aromatic ketones, we have got9classical calix [4] pyrrole compounds,3novel1,2-cis-hydroxy-calix [4] pyrrole compounds,12calixpyrroles compounds in totally. By studying the recation mechanism of1,2-cis-hydroxyl Calix [4] pyrrole compounds, we found that Dipyrrolo alkanes can form a single alkane degradation intermediates substituted pyrroles, Calix [4] pyrrole compounds finally been reconmbinating formed. All compounds were characterized and the crystal structure of7calix [4] pyrrole maternal compounds were analyzed.2. Through ether esterification, amidation reaction, hydroxyl calix [4] pyrrole compound as maternal material, we have got4ether ester derivatives,8amide derivatives and16Schiff base compounds,28compounds in total, and all of the compounds were characterized. We also studied the coordination role of salicylaldehyde Schiff base with metal ions and found that Zinc cation and Copper cation can be identified obviously.3. We synthesized2amino maternal compounds,4urea compounds,18Schiff base compounds,24compounds in total through re-using hydrogenation reaction of isocyanates or aromatic aldehyde compounds and methods, Nitro Calix [4] pyrrole as raw material. All compounds were characterized. We also investigated5-chlorosalicylaldehyde Schiff base liganding to the metal cation and found Zinc cation and Copper cation can be identified.
