Study On The Eco-compensation Financial Amount Of The Exploration Of Mineral Resources By The Method Of Real Option

On one hand, the environmental destruction brought by the exploration of mineralresources lead to natrual environment cannot play its role. On the other hand, the safetyof living environment, the quality of production and life, and intergeneration equity areaffected and the harmony of human beings and naure is threated. But with high profitsunder the luxuries of mine owners, the reason for this cantrast is that the interiorizationof external cost of ecological destruction of mineral exploration is week, which causesillegal cost is less than the cost of compliance caused. Ecological compensation canresolve the disharmony between human beings and nature that the current mineralexploration faced, and make an orderly and sustainable use of mine. So only bystudying the eco-compensation financing standard of the exploration can we formulatepolices to raise sufficient funds for ecological compensation and ensure ecologicalcompensation smoothly worked on.The main content of the thesis includes four parts. In the first part, this chapterintroduced the method of loss and compensation applied in eco-compensation financingaccount of the exploration of mineral resources, and the theory of real option. In thesecond part, the method of loss and compensation and real option binary tree modelwere put forward. In detail, the model of eco-compensation financing account of theexploration of mineral resources was constructed—“the eco-compensation fee=theecological destruction loss+the ecological restoration costs+the loss of theopportunity cost of the residents”, and real option binary tree model was applied tocalculate development opportunity cost. In the third part, with an empirical study oneco-compensation financing account of the exploration of Manganese in HuayuanCounty, Xiangxi, the eco-compensation fee was calculated. In the fourth part,countermeasures were put forward to perfect the eco-compensation financingmechanism of mineral exploration, emphasizing adding advertisement, improvingpolicies, and the multi-channel, multi-level and multi-faceted market participation.
