Salbutamol is a selective β2agonists which is used as bronchodilators clinically. However,it is often used in livestock production illegally because it can promote animal growth andincrease lean meat as well as reduce the role of fat, in which people will appear symptoms ofpoisoning, and even cause death if the situation is serious after eating a higher amount ofsalbutamol residues in animal tissues and products. Thus, it is necessary for salbutamol to findout a detecting method with speediness, accuracy and low cost.In this paper, the waximmersed graphite electrodes (SG) was produced by the cheapgraphite rod. Graphene modified graphite electrode (RGO/SG) was prepared with graphenefilms deposited on a waximmersed graphite electrode. The graphene modified salbutamolimprinted poly-o-phenylenediamine graphite electrode (MIP/POPD/RGO/SG) is preparedwith o-phenylenediamine as functional monomer and salbutamol as the template molecule.The experimental results indicated that the RGO/SG electrode can be obtained and itexhibited higher sensitivity when the graphene oxide was dispersed to NH3-NH4Cl buffersolution with pH of8.0and its concentration of0.035mol/L, and the graphene oxidedispersion system was used as a deposited liquid, meanwhile, graphene films waselectrodeposited15laps on the SG electrode surface with a good proceeding. AMIP/POPD/RGO/SG electrode with better electrochemical performance can be obtainedwhen the RGO/SG electrode was used as a working electrode,30laps in continuous cyclicvoltammetry were proceeded in a mixed solution with containing0.010mol/L ofo-phenylenediamine,1.0×10-4mol/L of salbutamol and0.100mol/L of KCl, the potentialrange is+1.50V~-1.00V, scan rate is0.05V/s, then placed the electrode in7.0of pH PBSbuffer solution,30laps in continuous cyclic voltammetry were proceeded under the sameelectrochemical parameters. Salbutamol was detected by the electrode, and a linearrelationship can be seen between1.000×10-5mol/L~1.000×10-6mol/L when the concentrationof salbutamol vs the peak current, which the detectable limit was0.300×10-7mol/L.MIP/POPD/RGO/SG electrode showed not only a high selectivity and sensitivity, but also agood reproducibility and stability.
