In this paper, magnesite and magnesite tailings were used to as the wet flue gas desulfurizers.X-ray and SEM analysis were used to determine the mineral compositions, the mineral phrases before and after desulfurized. And Iodometric method and ICP analysis were used to analysis desulfurization efficiency and solubility of MgCO3.Also, the effect of desulfurizing reaction time, chemical composition, the pH change, desulfurizer slurry temperature and mass fraction on the performance of desulfurizers were studied. And analysis the desulfurization of magnesite from the viewpoint of dynamics. The results show as follow: Magnesite has better desulfurization efficiency when w (MgO)%=47.2, and desulfurization efficiency is91%within10minutes.And it can assure desulfurization efficiency effectively by controlling the slurry’s pH value between4.6-6.Use magnesite tailings as the desulfurizer, the effect of reaction time, desulfurizer slurry temperature and mass fraction and organic acids on the desulfurization efficiency of magnesite tailings is obvious.Magnesite exhibits the best desulfurization performance at60℃and10%mass fraction, and the best desulfurization efficiency is84%within10minutes.The desulfurization efficiency is improved effectively by adding citric acid and oxalic acid.At60℃and10%mass fraction, the magnesite tailings’ desulfurization efficiency can be reached up to96%by adding3.5mmol/L citric acid and90%by adding3.5mmol/L oxalic acid.Magnesite desulfurization belongs to the first order reaction, reaction rate constant of0.016.Desulfurization reaction is mainly controlled by magnesite dissolved resistance within40minutes, and the dynamic equation is and...
