Aluminum alloys are the important lightweight materials and sheet metalforming has been a highly efficient production technology. As a nonlinear problem,springback is a key defect existing in sheet metal stamping and it has attracted wideattention in the world. Springback is strongly influenced by the material properties,die geometry and processing parameters,it is an accumulated effect of the wholeprocessing history. Sheet metal forming simulation has made significant progress inpredicting springback,and in order to further improve the accuracy of numericalsimulation, the modification about the core solver of finite element method isessential in comparison with experimental results.In this paper,Demeri split-ring test is issued as a standard test method forevaluating springback of5052aluminum alloy sheet in deep drawing at roomtemperature. Experiments-numerical simulation hybrid method has been used,combined with microstructure study and EBSD analysis,the texture evolution andits influence on springback during sheet metal forming has also been studied. Themain conclusion in this paper is as follows.(1)Owing to the anisotropy of5052aluminum alloy sheet,there was a higherelongation and low yield strength in45°orientation,but a low elongation andhigher yield strength in90°orientation. Earing phenomenon was not obvious tothe low plastic strain ratio r. The EBSD results show that there were more slipsystems in45°orientation which results in better plastic behavior.(2)5052aluminum alloy sheet shows a excellent drawing property at roomtemperature,a cylinder cup parts were obtained after appropriate deep-drawingprocess in condition of2.0drawing ration,10to20KN blank holder force,and lessthan30mm/min punching velocity.(3)With the friction factor and blank holder force increasing or punchingvelocity decreasing, the springback was decreased. The springback of5052aluminum alloy sheet after deep drawing decreased along direction of rolling,45°and traverse. Numerical simulation results were in accordance with theexperimental values,but it also exists some error,the springback of simulation wasslightly higher than the experimental value.(4)There was a strong cube texture and a slightly lower intensity beta fibertexture after cold rolling. The evolution of the Brass and S texture was the maincause of different springback in0°,45°,90°orientation after plastic deformation.(5)The straight wall was most intensely deformed during cylindrical cupdeep drawing deformation. The cube texture disappeared and the large angle grainboundaries were transformed into small angle grain boundaries after deformation.
