Flotation behavior of ultrafine collophanite and the effect of five types ofregulators(sodium pyro-phosphate,sodium silicate,sodium hexametaphosphate,starc-h,sodium humate)on ultrafine collophanite recovery in three kinds of flotation systemare researched.The collophanite flotation was determined by surface potentialmeasurement, and solution cheminstry calculation.The results indicated that ultrafine collophanite reaches a good floatability whenthe collectors are Dodecylamine and sodium oleate,andDodecylamine is better thansodium oleate.Oleic acid,hydroximic acid and sodium hydroximic express a weakfoltation on ultrafine collphanite. Elevated temperature of ore pulp is effective toimprove flotation performance of ultrafine cllopananite in four collectors(sodiumoleate,oleic acid,hydroximic acid and sodium hydroximic) system,and it is mosteffective in sodium system. The five types of regulators have different performance indifferent collector flotation system.In the flotation of sodium oleate,all regulators havea better depression effect,and the depression effects of fhe five regulators are in orderof sodium humate>sodium pyro-phosphate>starch>sodium hexametaphosphat-e>sodium silicate.In the flotation system of Dodecylamine,starch is noneffective,andthe others is effective,the depression effects of five regulators are in order of sodiumhexametaphosphate> sodium humate>sodium pyro-phosphate> starch, and the lowdosage regulators (pyro-phosphate and hexametaphospate) are able to improverecovery of ultrafine collophanite.The absolute value of dynamic potential results show that,with the increace ofpH value,surface potential of collophanite fines desced;In addition,adding sodiumoleate will make the IEP charge of collophanite decreased during the whole range ofpH; adding Dodecylamine will make the IEP charge of collophanite increased duringthe whole range of pH.Solution chemistry calculation shows that’s when collophaniteuse sodium oleate, collector adsorbs on collophanite surface in the form ofion-molecule assiociated complex and ion-molecule co-adsorption.When coll–ophanite use Dodecylamine,collector adsorb on collophanite by electrostatic force.
