Abstract:Tailings pond is an essential infrastructure in the security production process of mining enterprises. As a high potential man-made debris flow hazard, its dam-break will bring huge harm on ambient people’s lives and their property and surrounding environments. Therefore, the safety comprehensive evaluation of tailings pond has important practical significance. From the viewpoint of system safety engineering, aimed at the characteristics of randomness and uncertainty, a three-level evaluation model for tailings pond safety was established by combining FAHP and IE, so as to achieve the real-time assessment on entire tailings pond. The main work are as follows:(1) Based on the deep analysis of the hazards on tailings pond, the tailings dam stability, the intensity of the drainage systems, dam failure risk, management effectiveness are discussed in the view of qualitative impact on safety of tailings, so the safety assessment research ideas are determined.(2) Aimed at the problem that it is difficult to quantify the subjective uncertainty in the process of evaluation and analysis by expert, we propose a FAHP-IE Decision method, which combines fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and information entropy. This method is used to determine the initial weights of indexes by FAHP and the specialist self-weight by information entropy, so it makes up the defects that subjective influence on the index weights brought by traditional expert evaluation alone, and improves the credibility of the weights.(3) The safety three-level comprehensive evaluation model of tailings pond is studied, On the basis of building the safety evaluation index system, the security level of tailings are classified and quantified, then the weights of evaluation indexes are determined by using FAHP-IE method. Meanwhile, the fuzzy relation matrix of quantitative indicators and qualitative indicators are calculated respectively, and then weight matrix with fuzzy relationship matrix operates to get the membership vector of tailings security level, so the vector is analyzed by using fuzzy feature method to obtain a conclusion.(4) The safety three-level comprehensive evaluation model is applied to a specific tailings pond in Jiangxi, and industrial measurement data verifies the validity of the model. The model and method described herein can provide some basis for the mining enterprise managers.
