In this paper, the explosion-proof and intrinsic safety type centralized control computer was further studied on the base of analyzing and studying the electro-hydraulic control system of automatic coal face. The project in this thesis is not only an important part of the special project of the international scientific and technological cooperation and exchange "Development of Coal Face Unattended Electro-hydraulic Control System"(NO.:0S2013ZR0493), but also an important part of the major special project of Shan Xi Province "Research of Technology and Equipment in Domestic Fully Mechanized Working Face"(NO.:20111101024). The automation requirements of the control of electro-hydraulic in fully mechanized coal faces are increasing day by day because of the efficient intensive safety mining. The remote automatic control of electro-hydraulic control system has become one of the key technologies of coal face automation. The explosion-proof and intrinsic safety type centralized control computer is the main unit to achieve the automation of the electro-hydraulic control. It is working with the controller of hydraulic supports, the terminal controller and the ground monitoring center to achieve the hydraulic support real-time monitoring, automatic control, centralized control, online updating the program of the controller and so on, eventually realizes the automation of fully mechanized coal face. Electro-hydraulic control technology abroad has achieved rapid development in recent years, and has been more and more widely used in the actual production. However, the centralized control computer depends mostly on importing, and it is expensive, time-consuming in delivery and difficult to maintain. This situation greatly restricts the development of our country’s coal industry automation. Therefore, it is of great significance to research the explosion-proof and intrinsic safety type centralized control computer with independent intellectual property.This paper made a further study of control strategy of electro-hydraulic control system in the automatic coal face. The centralized control scheme of the electro-hydraulic control system was determined, and the explosion-proof and intrinsic safety type centralized control computer with control software was designed. After the tests in the laboratory and industrial fields, it was put into industrial operating. The research contents are as follows:According to a large number of literatures and the existing mechanized coal face of the electro-hydraulic control system, functional requirements and technical specifications of the electro-hydraulic control system for hydraulic supports were determined. After which the functional requirements of the explosion-proof and intrinsic safety type centralized control computer were advanced in the base of designing the control scheme of electro-hydraulic control system.The project in this thesis determined the overall scheme of hardware circuit of centralized control computer, selected the control module, and designed intrinsic safety type communication circuit. In order to adapt to the underground environment, communication circuit anti-interference measures were taken, and the explosion-proof enclosure was designed.The control procedure was designed by the embedded SQL which is based on PowerBuilder. Including TCP/IP communication subroutine, RS-485communication subroutine, upgrading online subroutine and so on, it could realize real-time monitoring of the coal face, centralized control of the electro-hydraulic control system and management of the database.A test platform of the hydraulic support electro-hydraulic control system was built and system debugging has been completed in the laboratory. It has been developed into product and debugged in the field (including on the ground and in coal mine). The results of debugging indicated that with scientific and rational organization, the explosion-proof and intrinsic safety type centralized control computer could obtain hydraulic support state signals and control the hydraulic support timely and accurately. It realized updating the program of the controller online. It laid the foundation for the practicability of the mining face automation.
