In the early stage of development, the core value of underground engineering machinery’s design is function and operation. With the progress of the society and technology, more and more enterprise of coal mine equipment manufacturing has been aware of the importance of design. A wonderful idea of design not only promotes the development of underground engineering machinery, but also can bring more added values to the product.For a start, taking "WC5explosion-proof trackless rubber-tyred vehicle" as the research object, this paper briefly introduces the related background of the trackless explosion-proof rubber-tyred vehicle and the technical parameters, analysis the relationship between function and structure of the existing underground engineering transport vehicle. Pointed out that many defects in the design of existing underground transportation equipment in modeling.
