Flame proof rubber tyre vehicle is developed in1950s, with high maneuvering, good traction performance and slope climbing, which is a high performance aided transporter for mechanized coal mine. This vehicle type is used to convey material in mine, such as cinder, coal, gangue, concrete, and roller, motor. Due to complicated working environment, harsh road condition, significant vibration and impaction of frame in rubber tyre vehicle running may lead to the occurrence of the fracture during the service period. So, it is necessary to study strength and fatigue life of frame.This paper is made principally for improving quality, aiming at the research on dynamic characteristics of frame joints during running in different conditions by the theory of the multi-body mechanical system dynamics and basic theory of the elastomer. First of all, setting up solid model of frame and its accessories, and assembling the whole, simplifying model, with3D modeling software Solidworks, the model was imported into ADAMS/View by data interface between Solidworks and ADAMS, and converted into rigid dynamic model.Aiming at actual working environment, dynamic load, torque on the wheel, turning radius can be obtained by simulation of multi-body system dynamics for full loaded vehicle in ADAMS/View under four conditions(flat road full loaded, full loaded tractor downhill or uphill, flat road turning).It shows that vibration and impaction of frame in joint is enhanced obviously, when rubber tyre vehicle crossing rectangular pits, the minimum turning radius and turning width were basically consistent with theoretical values.Rigid-elastic coupling dynamics model of the whole vehicle is established for preparing for further study on dynamic stress analysis of frame, by applying elastic theories of ADAMS and model analysis of AN SYS for frame elasticity. According to the rigid-elastic coupling dynamics model crossing rectangular pits in case of emergency brake on flat road, running with speed of the first shift and the second shift, the paper studies the time-stress history and stress distribution contour of elastic frame, and lays a foundation for further research on fatigue life analysis of frame. Research proves that stress of front frame joints exceeds the admissible stress value of frame material when crossing rectangular pits in speed of the second shift, which easily results in fatigue failure for frame. Therefore, it should be avoided to cross pits in speed over the second shift as possible for rubber tyre vehicle in mine.Quality and life of flame proof rubber tyre vehicle frame can be early predicted by time history of dynamic characteristics, which is obtained by the means of building virtual prototype model, simulating actual working during design period. It can short development cycle, reduce production cost, enhance the products competence for the market.
