It is more important to collect data in chemical industries than others, for chemicalindustries are high energy and material consuming and much pollution. In order to saveenergy, reduce consumption, protect environment, more and more chemical processintensification equipments are employed(such as strengthened heat exchanger, reactionkettle, centrifugal pump, etc). It has always been the focus of enterprises to controlequipments and ensure safety effectively in the production process. This thesis designs aninformation collection system of chemical process intensification equipments, i.e. heatexchangers, based on the LabVIEW and the wireless sensor network technology.At the beginning, social values and existing issues of chemical industries areanalyzed, while disadvantages of data collection with wired sensors are discussed. Thenthe merits and necessity of wireless sensor network technology are proposed forequipment data acquisition and state monitoring, and the information collection systemaccording to the requirements is designed.First of all, the research status and application characteristics of wireless sensornetwork and equipment condition monitoring are summarized in this thesis, and themeaning of data acquisition and processing technology is explained. On this basis, Wedesign the function and the overall structure of the system, divide it into three major parts:data acquisition and transmission, data processing and monitorring, and human-computerinterface.With the function and structure of the system determined, we analysis the workingprinciple of the key technology (wireless sensor network, equipment state monitoringand breakdown diagnosis, ZigBee), including the composition of the wireless sensornetwork node and related protocol standard. We study the routing protocols and its basicalgorithm of wireless sensor network, design the wireless sensor networking flow basedon ZigBee and realize the networking work in the first part, so as to complete the function of data acquisition and transmission. Then set up a set of data acquisitionplatform, design the corresponding software to collect the main parameters (temperature,pressure and flow) of the heat exchanger that in heat transfer laboratory. Based on theplatform, the upper computer data acquisition and processing program is designed byusing LabVEIW virtual instrument.Finally, we use ICONIC GENESIS64, the3D configuration monitoring software tomake virtual heat transfer laboratory and share the same database with LabVIEWprogram, simulate the real-time working status of heat exchanger for the purpose ofmonitoring.
