Mineral resources are the important material source of national economy. Theabundance extent and development and utilization degree of mineral resources are theimportant factors that determine a country’s economic strength and developmentpotential.Since the early years of relatively backward technology,Chinese coalproduction lack of unified scientific management,which leading to inefficientproduction of coal mining enterprises, and the frequent coal mine production safetyaccident that maked great impact on the country and lives and property of people.With the rapid development of computer technology,microelectronics, informationtechnology and network technology and the government has been using high technologyto transform traditional industries,Coal digitization, informationization,and automationhas become the development trend of China coal industry,the realization of digital minemanagement has become an inevitable trend. Using geographic information technologyto build integrated information management system of coal mining of mineral resourcescan achieve the visual, networking, intelligent, systematic management, therebyenhancing productivity and production of coal mine safety.
