The development of the Chlor-Alkali industry is confronted with difficulties inthe current economic situation. In order to reduce the cost, improve the enterpriseprofits and increase the market share, all manufacturers carry out the productionmodel on improving the product quality and reducing the production cost. Combinedwith the present situation and development of a certain unit, which is currently usingthe70m3polymerizer via suspension polymerization to produce polyvinyl chloride,the production process is reformed and adjusted in order to increase the yield per unitvolume, reduce the consumption and cost, improve the quality of the products,. Thereaction period is shortened mainly through the installation of an external condenser.During the using process, the process of the condenser is improved to ensure theproduction stability. The process is further optimized in order to improve the yield perunit volume and reduce the consumption and improve the product quality.From2009, the thiesis focused on the improvement of the70m3polymerizerproduction process. In order to solve the heat transfer problem of polymerizer, the invitro condenser was installed on the polymerizer kettle top for the first time. Thus thepolymerization cycle was shortened, the unit volume production capacity ofpolymerizer autoclave was improved, and the operating environment was improved.In order to improve the condenser efficiency, extend the production cycle andpromote the quality of the products, the operation process of the condenser wasimproved gradually. By the improvement of the coating kettle process and theoperation process of the condenser, the blocking probability of the condenser wasreduced; the production cycle of the condenser was significantly extended. Throughthe research work of the project, the polymerization kettle has achieved a long-periodoperation, and has run for more than one year without serious congestion.Through the process of the condenser improvement, the antisticking technologywas found to be vital. In addition, conclusion can be drawn that the operation periodcan be extended by sacrificing the full load production mode.(and the optimum useof the condenser is not full load, the using periods can be extended if we reduce theload appropriately.)The results show that it is feasible for the in vitro condenser if used in the70m3polymerizer especially when higher temperature circulating water is applied to theprocess. By adjusting the operating parameters of the condenser, resins, meeting the quality standard, can be produced with the in vitro condenser polymerization kettle.The in vitro condenser can improve the unit volume production capacity of thepolymerization kettle, reduce the energy consumption such as water, electricity, steamenergy, and reduce the production cost. In addition, by using the in vitro condensertechnology has also solved the impact caused by the pipeline valve switching duringthe direct water supply of the polymerizer jacket.
