The design of the cutting head of roadheader is a prerequisite for the design, allthe design machine is for cutting head service, design of cutting head is good or bad,is directly represented in the whole machine performance is good or bad. Thecutting head cutting coal and rock, the efficiency of dust quantity, consumption costis an important index to evaluate the quality of the cutting head, and these indicatorsare the performance parameters and the cutting head and the stress has direct andindirect contact. In this paper, through the system development of cutting headdesign software, and the relationship between cutting parameters, cutting headmovement parameters, mechanical model and efficiency, energy consumption, dust,design of the cutting head is fast and convenient, save the new products through theactual use and to verify the time and expense, success development and design ofcutting head software bring huge economic benefits to the enterprise.The cutting mechanism and characteristics of coal rock is based on cuttingforce simulation, through the analysis of the four stages of cutting mechanism: theelastic-plastic deformation stage, crack, crack formation stage, stage of compositecoal caving stage, by the force of cutting head design scheme.According to the cutting head movement, the whole, rock, tool parameters,through the single tooth force model is established for the cutting force simulationmathematical model of the cutting head. The application of mathematical statisticsmethods and empirical data, analysis of the cutting process, cutting teeth of thecutting resistance, influence of the related parameters of traction force, lateral forceon the single tooth load, the model to determine the cutting head load varies withthe change of working conditions, the stress state of intuitive reflect the cuttinghead cutting coal processTo calculate the cutting head movement, mechanics and vibration loadcharacteristic parameters by means of statistical features, to optimize the design ofthe cutting parameters, cutting parameters to determine the range and trend, obtainsthe optimal solution.The cutting optimization module using Matlab software for example, therationality of design method is verified, and the test report. Display the cutter headis simulated and performance calculation result, the design result image and is convenient for engineering, thus saving the test cost, design time, provides animportant reference for the early development of the cutting head. The calculationresults can store each time, the formation of database management, design module,general to facilitate future.
