The cutting head is the most important component of the longitudinal cantilever roadheader, which is mainly used to crack coal. The working efficiency of roadheader 、 reliability 、 the economic benefits of coal 、 dust concentration on the cutting spot is directly determined by the cutting performance of the cutting head. In view of this case above, according to structural parameters and actual production state of the cutting head finite element models of the cutting head cracking coal wall are established to research the effects of roadheader’s structural and motion parameters on its cutting performance, which is of great significance in optimizing structural design of the cutting head and improving its cutting performance and providing guidance on how to operate roadheaders on the cutting spot.This thesis mainly focuses on four parts. In the first part,three-dimensional models of the cutting head of roadheader and the coal wall are builded by the digital product design software UG, then the simulation of the cutting head cracking coal wall is accomplished by the dynamic analysissoftware LS-DYNA with different structural parameters such as different cutting angles and different tilt angles of the pick,different arrangements of picks and different line spacing for cutting picks and so on. The dynamic simulation process are caught sight of by LS-PREPOST, also its three-direction force curve and mises stress nephogram is extracted with different structural parameters of the cutting head, then the more reasonable value of different structural parameters is obtained by statistical analysis of force; In the second part, the simulation of the cutting process is accomplished with 8 groups of different translational velocity 、drilling velocity and rotational velocity under transversal condition and drilling condition,then the author computes cutting specific energy consumption with corresponding motion parameters and analyzes the influence of different motion parameters on the force 、torque 、and cutting specific energy consumption. In the third part the author sets up Cutting test bench for coal wall on the basis of similarity theory, then the author does cutting experiment for coal wall to research the relationship between the force 、cutting specific energy consumption of the cutting head and translational velocity 、rotational velocity with 8 groups of different motion parameters in the cutting process. In the fourth part, translational velocity and rotational velocity are optimized by Genetic Algorithm, then the relationship curve between motion parameters and objective function value is output by MATLAB. In the end, the reasonable matched values of two motion parameters are output.This thesis discusses and analyzes the effects of the cutting head’s structural and motion parameters on its cutting performance by Theory 、simulation and experiment, which provides a reference in both choosing structural parameters of the cutting head and exploring the best matched relationship of motion parameters.
