At present, the most of powder grain which is used for fireworks in our country isdried by the method of natural drying, the efficiency is very low, unable to realizecontinuous production. Apart of powder grain is dried by hot air drying, this way consumesmore energy and needs more time. So we have to seek a more effective way of drying tomeet the needs of fireworks production automation.Far-infrared drying is very effective, it not only dries more quickly and saves moreenergy, but also easier to realize the automatic production. This paper chooses the way ofcombination with far-infrared and hot air drying, through the design and calculation, itrealizes the needs of fireworks production automation, the main researched content is asfollows:In the structure design. I designed a new type of far-infrared drying oven which isequipped with axial flow fan and far-infrared electric heating plate on the inside. Threedrying oven are installed on the conveyor equidistance, they are linked with the ventilationpipe and dust collector. When the shelves which are filled with powder grain enter in thedrying oven, they are formed a closed drying system. The temperature of the electricheating plate surface is less than60℃, it will produces far-infrared radiation to drying thepowder grain, and the powder grain will be dried more even when we use axial flow fan,because axial flow fan can produce hot air. The power of drying powder grain has beencalculated in this paper, and the result is lower than the power of electric heating platewhich is installed in the drying oven, It show that the result has reached design requirement.In the process of discharging, the goods shelf began to tilt because of the push of thecylinder rod, and then powder grain on the good shelf will be falling into the collection boxby orbital worse, finally completing the process.In the control design, PLC is adopted to control the action in the process of drying anddischarging, forever it can be used to count and alarm when the temperature is out of therange. In order to be more intuitive understanding of the movement of the drying and thedischarging situation in the whole process, the mechanism movement simulation is realizedby using Pro/E in this paper. Finally I use ANSYS to analyzing the distribution oftemperature in the drying oven, it is concluded that every point temperature in the oven isconsistent, proved that my design is reasonable.The drying and discharging automation system of fireworks will be greatly improvedthe current situation. Not only improves the drying efficiency and save the energy, but also realizes the automating production in the process of powder grain. And this has reached thedesign requirements of paper.
