Facial mask is the product which is coated or on the human skin surface after a period of timethen pull apart、scrub or retain, with the function of nursing or cleaning skin. Nearly70%of thefacial mask on the market is based with nonwoven materials as the carrier.With the development of nonwoven technology and people living standard level, facial maskproduct consumption and performance requirements are synchronous improving. In recent years,the base cloth of facial mask is constantly upgrading, new products have emerged in endlessly.There are innovative designs in terms of fiber raw material, production process and so on. How domorphology structure and physical characteristics affect its comfortable and functionalperformance etc, what are the relations between each other, few scholars have done the research.Because there are differences between objective evalutions from machine testing andsubjective evaluations from consumer, so it is necessary to establish subjective evaluation systemfor mask using, and study its correlation with objective evaluation.In the paper,14different non-woven mask materials are selected, research on their physicaland chemical characteristics and morphological structure; design some experiments on the test ofcomfort, function and some other objective experiments, and deeply analysis the experimentalresults from the structure and physical characteristics of the samples; establish the subjectiveevaluation system on the mechanical、comfort and function property of non-woven mask basefabric; finally research the correlation between subjective and objective evaluation. Through the above research, get the following conclusions:1) For the same fiber raw materials and the same processing technology of nonwoven materials,with the increasing of surface density, tangles coefficient increase slightly, pore size、airpermeability、moisture permeability、softness、liquid rate、penetration、initial penetration velocityand penetration acceleration decrease, while water retention increases.2) For different viscose quality percentage of polyester/viscose blended spunlace nonwovenmaterials, with the increasing of viscose quality percentage, namely the increasing of the contentof viscose fiber, thickness of the samples decrease while pore size decrease at the same time, airpermeability、moisture permeability、softness and liquid rate drop, tangles coefficient increase.The initial penetration velocity、penetration acceleration and water retention do not have a clearrelationship with viscose quality percentage.3) For different fiber raw materials and processing technology of non-woven mask base fabric, theability of liquid rate is relevant with their raw materials and porosity, the porosity is depending onthe fiber and reinforcing technology. The initial infiltration rate and density of base fabric is anegative correlation; penetration acceleration and facial mask base cloth density、moisture regainshow negative correlation; osmotic quantity of base fabric and porosity are positive correlation.Wet release rate of the base fabric and density、tangle coefficient are negative correlation, butpositively relate with mask material pore size.4) According to the results of subjective and objective evaluation, there is a certain correlationbetween subjective and objective evaluation, comprehensive evaluation result shows that woodpulp facial mask has a better performance.
