With the change of the environment and the aging of the skin,the ability of the skin to absorb and store water is weakened,and it is prone to water shortage,peeling and other problems.The facial mask has the effect of instant replenishment and can effectively improve the drying problem of the skin.In the facial mask market,eighty percent of the products are made of the essence and facial mask fabric,and the material of the facial mask fabric is the main factor that determines its user experience and application effects.Under the current situation of the improvement of the processing technology,different kinds of new fibers have been developed,and various kinds of mask products with different materials and efficacy have been produced.However,there are few studies on the effects of fiber properties,composition and fabric structure on the properties of facial mask fabric.This paper collects 14 kinds of facial mask fabric that are widely used in the market,and the experimental research was carried out in three aspects:basic performance,comfort and functionality.The basic performance of the facial mask fabric includes areal density,thickness,p H,breaking strength and pore size;The functionality of the facial mask fabric includes liquid absorption,antibacterial properties and transparency;The comfort of the facial mask fabric includes breathability,moisture permeability and softness.The experimental conclusions are as follows:1.The surface density of the collected facial mask fabric is in the range of 35?55g/m~2,the thinnest thickness of the facial mask fabric samples is 0.191 mm.The p H value of the facial mask fabric samples is in the range of 6.9?8.2,which accords with the p H value of the mask standard(5.5?8.5);2.In terms of the mechanical properties,the entanglement coefficient of the facial mask samples with the same areal density and different processing techniques:spunbond spunlace nonwoven material>spunlace nonwoven material>wet spunbonded spunlace nonwoven material;The mass percentage of Tencel facial mask fabric has a positive correlation with the entanglement coefficient of the samples with different Tencel content;The higher the surface density of the material,the higher the entanglement coefficient,indicating that the fiber entanglement is tighter.It is also found that the average pore size is greatly affected by the surface density of the facial mask fabric,and the porosity is greatly affected by the thickness of the materials;3.When the surface density of the facial mask fabrics is the same,the average pore size for the samples of different processing techniques:wet spunbond spunlace nonwoven material>spunlace nonwoven material>spunbonded spunlace nonwoven material;Samples with similar thicknesses,the higher the surface density,the smaller the average pore size and porosity;4.In terms of the functionality of the facial mask fabric,the amount of liquid absorption is mainly affected by the pore size and thickness of the material.The larger the average pore size and the thicker the thickness,the more liquid the facial mask fabric absorbed.For the samples with different Tencel content,the higher the mass percentage of absorbent fiber,the more liquid the material absorbed;The spunlaced nonwovens with ultra-fine fiber and Tencel/chitosan(75/25)fiber have good antibacterial properties;the transparency is affected by fiber characteristics,cross-section shape and area density;5.In terms of the comfort of the facial mask fabric,the air permeability and moisture permeability of the material increased with the increase of the pore size.The materials with low surface density have better air permeability,moisture permeability and a higher degree of fit;For the facial mask fabric with different Tencel content,the more Tencel content in the material,the higher the fiber entanglement coefficient,the higher the bending stiffness and the worse the conformability;6.This paper analyzes the shortcomings of the existing standards related to facial masks.And it provides a reference to formulate a more complete and more widely applicable standard of facial mask fabric in the future by summarizing the experimental data in this paper.
