High-pressure abrasive water jet technology is a new technology of rapiddevelopment in recent decades, It belongs to a cold cutting technology, the process does notproduce thermal deformation and thermal strain, etc.. Glass fiber reinforced plasticapplications in the aerospace, electrical and mechanical, military aspects of increasing,however, glass fiber reinforced plastics processing conditions are harsh, typical of thedifficult process of composite materials, abrasive water jet machining cold single pointadvantages just solve these problems. In this paper, experimental study of the abrasivewater jet cutting of glass fiber reinforced plastic material removal process in the form andprocess parameters on cutting efficiency and cutting quality, as follows:(1)Combining materials plastic deformation and brittle deformation mechanism toanalyze the glass fiber material erosion damage in the course of the composites role,summed up the removal of the form of glass fiber-reinforced composite materials.(2)Single factor experiment were studied pump pressure, nozzle traverse speed,standoff distance, abrasive flow machining process parameters on four cutting efficiencyand cutting section and the roughness of the material kerf width and taper, and analyze theimpact of reasons.(3)By orthogonal experiment to establish orthogonal table, the use of poor analysis,to determine the influence of various parameters on the size of the target, and ultimately todetermine the optimal level combination of parameters. According to the orthogonalexperiment simplifies the regression equation;Borrowing Matlab language programmingsoftware for the orthogonal experimental data obtained nonlinear regression analysisabrasive water jet cutting efficiency and cutting sections roughness craft empirical model.Results of this study for water jet cutting of glass fiber reinforced plastic processparameters chosen to provide a reference.
