Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics(GFRP)are widely used in construction,chemical,transportation and communication engineering and so on,due to its superior performances such as design flexible,easy molding,high strength light weight,good corrosion resistance and thermal properties.However,a large amount of waste was generated.Waste Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics(WGFRP)with hazard and value are worthy very much to recycle.Under the background of circular economy and resource reuse,this research try to find a way of economy,environmental protection to recycle the WGFRP to achieve turning waste into treasure.The main research contents are:(1)Emphasis was given to characterization of WGFRP feedstock.Morphology,size and distribution of WGFRP by grinding and screening have been analyzed.The contents of WGFRP components were determined by calcining at high temperature,and the glass fiber proportion was 50-60%.It was found that water contact angle of WGFRP was 157.9° by Angle Contact Metering System,so it was hydrophobic.The result also showed that organic matter was vinyl resins by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR).These analyses provide research basis for WGFRP resource utilization.(2)Polypropylene matrix composites(WGFRP/PP)was prepared by the banburying and mould pressing.The effects of size fraction and content of the untreated WGFRP on the mechanical properties,the section morphology,thermal stability and crystallization behavior of the WGFRP/PP were investigated.The tensile strength,elongation at break and impact strength of composite materials were decreased with the increased amount of WGFRP,elastic modulus,bending strength and bending modulus were opposite to the former.When the WRFGP-C content was 20%,and the elastic modulus,bending strength,bending modulus of the WGFRP/PP were increased 38.0%,27.3% and 36.8%,respectively.The results indicated that thermal stability and the relative crystallinity of the composites was enhanced because of WGFRP.The melting peak temperature was slightly lower,the crystallization period was advanced than pure PP and the crystallization temperature increased.(3)This part was to improve the mechanical properties of composites by compatibilizer and flexibilizer.After modification with MAPP and KH550,the tensile strength and bending strength of composite was 25.95MPa、36.4MPa and the increment was 20.03%,27.94%,respectively.Melting temperature and the enthalpy were increased.After modification,the impact cross section showed rough,strict construction and yield phenomenon,and the filler and matrix was tightly bound.The elongation at break and impact strength of composites significantly increased when the POE content was 10%.They increased form 133%、5.61kJ/m2 to 498%、12.1kJ/m2,an increase of 274% and 116%,respectively.After a series of performance optimization,the composite material has good application prospect,and can realize resource into waste.(4)This part discussed the application of WGFRP powder in the sheet.Research results showed that the compactness and tensile strength of paper became lower because of WGFRP.The tensile index decreased slowly when the addition was less than 10%,while tensile index fell sharply when added more.Small WGFRP had less an effect on tensile strength than large one with the same addition.PET sheet strength also decreased,but glass fibers in WGFRP have enhancement effect in certain extent,especially large WGFRP.The longer the glass fiber was,the better the effect was. |
