Study On The Carving Decorative Patterns On European Furniture And Its Application

European furniture carving decoration is an important part of the decoration craft inEurope type furniture. This article starts with the carving decorative patterns of the furniture,then includes and analyzes the carving patterns on the common European furnituresystematically and studies the meanings thoroughly. It researches the carving materials of theEuropean furniture, hand-carving craft and carving process in enterprise respectively. And italso studies the carving decoration’s application in modern furniture and interior.In this paper, we summarized the carving patterns by using the literature research method;analysis of variance method was used to study the relationship between the carving sites and thepatterns of pattern types. In the aspect of carving craft, we adopted the method of businessinvestigation, and put forward the problems and suggestions on the existing enterprise carvingprocedure. In the studying of modern furniture, we adopted the methods of field survey instores and questionnaire survey, researched the furniture buyers’ preferences for Europeanfurniture carving patterns, and gave advices to enterprises according to the cross analysis of thequestionnaire results.The main results are as followings:（1）Summarize the classification and profound connotation of the typical European stylefurniture’s carving decorative patterns. Conclude the relationship between carving patterns andcarving sites by quantitative analysis, and obtain the rule of people’s preference betweencarving patterns and carving sites. Studying on the connotation of European furniture’s carvingpatterns provides theoretical reference for the understanding of the meaning of carving patterns.Studying on the classification of patterns and preference provides reference for the design andresearch of European furniture for the enterprise.（2）Research the material of the European furniture and its choosing methods, and thendescribe the hand-carving craft and carving skills in detail. Explore the normal process flow ofthe furniture’s carving part. Put forward that something like illumination, environment and soon may exist problems and can be improved, meanwhile give suggestions for enterprises to usethe advanced engraving machine and absorb talents. In all, for the enterprise to improveproduction efficiency, realize batch production and guarantee the finished furniture production’squality and quantity has practical significance.（3）Through the research of modern European furniture market, analysis and summarizesthe application of carving decorative on classical European style furniture in modern Europeanfurniture and interior design, and at the same time to understand the consumers’ taste ofEuropean furniture’s carving patterns. Combine with the combing of patterns and studying ofcarving craft, we provide suggestions for the enterprise in order to follow the marketing trends better, but also aroused people’s enthusiasm for European furniture’s classic beauty, and presenta new idea for European furniture design.
