As the rapid development of economy and industry, technology in global scale, the consumption of energy, especially non-renewable energy also increased rapidly. And this situation make the energy crysis now become one of the most serious problem of modern human society. In these years,"Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction" has became an important mission for Sustainable Development of China in present stage, and industry is the most polluted and energy-consumption field, is exactly the main battlefield of "Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction".In these, the steel industry requires large quantities of energy, is badly in need to be optimize.At this stage, most of the steel enterprises in China had not add dehumidification modules in blast furnace blast system, result in the moisture passes into the system with the air, consumed extra quantity of heat, reduced the production of steel. Among the current blast furnace blast dehumidifying technology, cooling dehumidification and liquid absorption dehumidification also have some drawbacks. On the other hand, steel enterprises provide great amount of low grade heat resource, such as high temperature vapor and blast furnace slag water, these resource need to be urgently utilized. Therefore, this paper research on the application of desiccant wheel dehumidifying system in blast furnace blast system, specific contents go as follows:(1) Describing the current situation of industrial dehumidifying technologies, and discussing the advantages of desiccant wheel dehumidifying system compared to other related technologies, and the bright future of being applied in the metallurgy field;(2) Proposing the energy conservation plan of blast furnace blast dehumidifying system, designing and building the double-stage desiccant wheel dehumidifying experiment unit with the waste heat of blast furnace;(3) Doing a lot of experiments which were aimed at the various operating conditions of the industrial production environment, and research on these data of the experiment, research results show that the relation between the rotating speed of desiccant wheel and dehumidify capacity is not monotonic relation, but existing a extreme value, desiccant wheel could reach the best result at the extreme value; as the temperature of the process air rises, relative humidity reduces, and the dehumidify capacity also reduces; the relation between single desiccant wheel’s and double desiccant wheels’ dehumidify capacity is not linear superposition relation.This paper’s purpose is through analysis and summing-up of the data, to find out the influencing factor and technical features to optimize the rotary dehumidification, building the foundation for future researches.
