Depth study of the offshore platform emergency shutdown system can reduce theprobability of occurrence of the accident of the oil platforms, which is vital to the normalproduction of oil and gas and the safety of staff. According to the safety integrity levels ofemergency shut off system, this thesis designs the emergency shutdown system of theoffshore platform in detail.In addition, the main program software of such system isdeveloped and designed.The general design scheme of emergency shutdown system is achieved throughanalysis of the safety aims and safety functions of the system, combined with the productionrequirements of the offshore central platform. The causal logic diagram of the emergencyshutdown system is made by researching on the specific production process and theprinciple of emergency shutdown, thus the detecting parameters and shutdown objects ofthe emergency shutdown system of the offshore oil platform are analyzed. Combined withthe causal logic diagram, it achieves the relevant test parameters and specific shutdownobjects, the design of the sensor unit, the final execution unit and logic control unit of theemergency shutdown system are achieved. In order to meet the safety level of theemergency shutdown system and improve system reliability, system redundancy design isconducted. The development and design of main program is written, including dataacquisition and processing program, logic control program, as well as redundancy controlprogram.Emergency shut off system adopts fault tolerant Ethernet as the communicationnetwork among servers, operation stations and logic controllers and employs Controlnet redundant network as the control network of field control stations. Both of these two kindsof network conform to the safety level validation. The laboratory test and field test of suchemergency shut off system are completed, as well as the safe operation of the system.
