| Startup and shutdown is an extremely important work in chemical process. Anynegligence or misconduct is susceptible to accidents, causing heavy production cost.As an effective way to solve this problem, the expert system based on CLIPS (CLanguage Integrated Production System) in petrochemical equipment operationguidance is extensively applied. Using the expert system for intelligent monitoring andcontrol of petrochemical plant, not only can guide operation, but also can save theoperation time and improve the economic benefit of petrochemical production.Consequently, the petrochemical plant operation navigation system research andapplication based on the CLIPS is studied in this paper.The effectiveness of reasoning method and Rete internet structure matching basedon CLIPS is studied at first. The chemical process mathematical model is applied toreasoning system to grasp the change rules of chemical process deeply. Taking intoaccount the actual complexity of actual engineering, it creates different modules tounify different structural types of chemical processes such as configuration module andoperation module. The collected data are converted into CLIPS facts, and inserted intothe rule base through operation. The mixed logical structure and mathematicaloperations are used to improve the diversity of chemical process and manage morecomplex set of conditions. At the same time, to improve the recognition of warningdegree and practical application, warning position, the list and flow chart are used inthe customer interface.This system is coded into the software with Visual C++and CLIPS. With thesystem software established in this paper, online startup and shutdown operation hasbeen applied to the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit（FCCU）system of a petrifactioncompany. The result shows that, the software is able to discover and identify wrongoperation and offer warning in time. It can ensure the security and stability of theFCCU process. |
