Research On The Redesign Of Mortise And Tenon Joint Structure In Wood Furniture

As the contemporary consumers’ increasing awareness of environmentalprotection and growing pursuit of quality of life, solid wood furnitures with high-qualityhave been sought after by buyers recently. Meanwhile, customers are demanding formore personalization due to the age structure of them is becoming younger.This study is based on the modern customers’ demand of solid wood furnitures,formulating the contradiction demand of modern solid wood furnitures.With theexisting wood products used in the mortise and tenon joint structure as the researchobject，comparing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of each connection，then it sums up the general principles of the mortise and tenon joint structure design.Furthermore, combined with modern furniture structure nodes in the research andanalysis in order to make clear the user requirements of the target group. To improveand redesign mortise and tenon joint structure with new material, new technology，andfinally applied it to the modern home of modular design to make it match the massproduction of modularization, generalization and standardization of the designrequirements. Provided the reference method for solving the contradictions of the solidwood furniture market demand， searching for the new form of mortise and tenon jointstructure as well，we should enhance and develop this traditional treasure，which enablesolid wood furniture has more possibilities in the use of space.
